My Pregnancy Must-Haves !

I am happy to share that I have been given the blessing of being a mommy and during this magical time in my life I have never felt more beautiful and special. There is something about carrying a child that makes you feel empowered, feminine and extremely happy. As wonderful as pregnancy is, its a time where you have to change almost everything about yourself and your way of living. The way you dress, what you eat, what you put on your body and even how you sleep has to be modified to your specific pregnancy. There is a lot that goes on during pregnancy and in my experience these happen to be my must have items which has made this journey a breeze.

1. Mama Mio "Tummy Rub" Stretch Mark Butter - The moment I found out I was pregnant I quickly went online and ordered the Mama Mio products. I had always heard nothing but great reviews about their products so I knew I had to get my hands on them. The stretch mark butter smells lemony fresh, a very pleasant scent. It's so thick and creamy that you can feel it moisturize your body as you apply it.

2. Mama Mio "Mighty Moisture" Face Moisturizer - As long as I can remember my skin has always been a bit oily. During my pregnancy my skin has given a complete turn, I am extremely dry. My face  dries out quickly and the facial moisturizer I had always used no longer works for me.  I went on a search for something hydrating only to find out that not everything is safe to use during pregnancy. Luckily the Mama Mio products are completely safe to use when you are carrying a baby. It has a light fresh scent and it glides on easily, its non greasy and it does the job. A little bit of product goes a long way. My skin is so happy to have found this !

3. Mama Mio "Tummy Rub" Stretch Mark Oil -  You can never be too cautious when it comes to stretch marks that is why I doubled my anti stretch mark products. The body oil smells the same as the Tummy Rub Butter, fresh and citrusy. This product I apply everywhere !

4. Rainbow Light Certified Organic "Prenatal Multivitamins"- The prenatal vitamins that I was given at my doctors were horrible.  The taste was so unpleasant that I would have such a difficult time taking them and when i did they would upset my stomach. Since taking your prenatal vitamins is extremely important, I knew right away that I had to find an alternative. Luckily I came across these vitamins on one of my trips to Whole Foods. I did my research and found out that they are highly recommended. I now take these without any hesitation. I'm a happy camper.

5. Weleda "Foot Balm"- If you have been carrying a baby for a long time you know that being on your feet is tough. I am already on my last month and this foot balm has been a life saver. At the end of the day my feet are swollen and aching, and the balms cooling feeling feels like heaven. It has a minty scent that makes the applying of the balm relaxing. Even better, my love applies it on my feet every night. I love him.

Comfort is key when it comes to the 9 months you carry your baby, what you wear is extremely important. For me it was all about Jeans and Leggings, with the stretchy bands of course ! Now a days you can find maternity clothes at every store, from high end to the absolute affordable. You can't go wrong since they offer them in every style and color.

The awesome thing about getting a big belly is all the clothes you get to wear, the round shape looks so cute. I love color, so when I went shopping I made sure I got lots of it. Different materials flatter different growing bellies so try on what suits and feels comfortable for you.

As you can see I have beat up my Moccasins, they have been essential during this time. Any comfortable shoe will become your favorite during pregnancy.

Ugg's might not be so stylish, but they sure are comfortable for aching feet.

Need your hot feet to breathe? Air them out by wearing sandals.

If there is one thing out of everything I have mentioned to be an absolute necessity it would have to be pillows ! Pillows and lots of them. Sleeping gets only more challenging the more your belly grows, put a pillow between your legs, on the curve of your back, and one between your arms to hug and you will have a nice, comfy, sleep.

For you pregnant mommies out there, what are your pregnancy must haves?

- Amy
