The Twenty-Two Year Old Braceface

Braces.... What can I say ? They suck. For those of you who are 13 or 14  years old its cute, but for us 22 and older you know how it is. We can't be taken seriously, at least not me, I already look 17 and my braces don't help.  The times i've gone out  looking all cute with my heels, clothes, and my hair done, I smile and ... I have a mouth full of metal! It makes people think,"How old are you?" LOL. I've seen so many people that look cute with braces, but I don't think they look that cool on me. Both Amy and Samantha already had braces. They did the two years and now they're all done, Im still in the process.

I got my braces about 6 months after Sam did and she has been braces free for about a year now. It has been so long that I don't even remember how I looked  before I had them! I swear if I climb a mountain I'll be able to get signal with all this metal! If the world ever has a metal shortage, I've got it covered. I have to admit, changing the color of your bands every month is awesome, mine are currently neon pink. On my last check up they made me wear some rubber bands that hook across the top to the lower wires on my teeth.

I'm in so much pain that if I eat anything hard I feel like my teeth are going to fall off of my gums. I'm in so much pain that I am stuck eating mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese and everything else mushy. I don't really mind though being I'm already half grandma, I will leave that for another post ;) So for now, I have to deal with these beautiful, painful, and annoying braces. Hopefully they come off soon. I can't wait for my next orthodontist appointment because that means I am one step closer to getting these babies off !

Yours truly, Eslee !
