The trip finally happened and it couldn't have been any better. As I predicted, the road was tough. However I do have to say renting a car was a life saver. A 2012 spacious car that didn't give us any problems what so ever. George drove most of the trip because I was a bit scared, I have to admit. There were such strong winds that the car would swerve, not to mention it was raining A LOT! The speed limit was 75 mph which was not bad, but in those weather conditions I would have rather been driving at 30 mph HAHA! There were moments where we felt we couldn't go on any longer because we were so sleepy and the time differences worked against us, but in the end we pulled through and made it to Oklahoma in one piece. Finally arriving at around 6 in the morning, we were greeted by my cousins Stacy and Brandon which we had not seen in years. After resting for a bit and catching up, our adventure continued.
We did everything from hanging out at different Walmarts at 3 in the morning, eating at local pizza places like Jo's Pizza, visiting abandoned burned creepy houses, zoo's filled with beautiful rescued animals, to driving all the way to Texas to visit my other cousin Kathy. This trip was by far the highlight of my year.
Here are some of my favorite moments....
